Until my Dad got diagnosed with oesophagus cancer I didn’t realise what a hospice did. During the hardest time of our lives, they carried out home visits, short term stays, but most importantly, gave my Dad a place to feel comfortable & loved.

I’ll never forget the day my Dad arrived back, he saw the nurses and his face lit up, he was safe & comfortable. They offered this for us all.

A few times my Dad completed the Manchester to Blackpool bike ride, and watching him, I always wanted to do it with him. Now, we hope to complete it in memory of him.
