Story
Bill Crichton was a much-loved Dad, Husband, Brother, Grandad and friend to many. Proud to be from Fegg Hayes, Bill had a lifelong passion for football, cricket and running. He ran many marathons throughout his life, raising thousands of pounds for charity and always giving back to the community he cared so deeply about.
Bill was known for his wit, humour and strong views on politics. One thing you could never say about him was that he was quiet — he was always vocal, passionate and deeply knowledgeable about the things he believed in. He was an incredibly educated man who loved a good conversation and standing up for what mattered to him.
Above all, Bill’s greatest passion was his family and the people around him. If Bill befriended you, you had a friend for life. His warmth, loyalty and larger-than-life personality made him someone people will always remember — a true legend to those who knew and loved him.
In his honour, we are raising funds for the Grace Crichton Community Shop at The Hub ST6, a place that reflects the same spirit of community, kindness and support that meant so much to Bill.
If Bill ever made you smile, shared a laugh with you, debated the world’s problems with you, or touched your life in any way, please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help us celebrate his life and keep his incredible community spirit alive.
