Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

William Sydney Ward (known to most as Bill) died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on 22nd June, 2023, aged 84.

His funeral service takes place at St Margaret's Church, Draycott-in-the-Moors on Thursday 13th July at 11:30am.

The Stroke Association provided excellent support to us (Bill's family - in particular to wife, Nola) after he suffered a stroke in 2021, so we would like to give something back to the organisation to help them support others.

We also welcome any fond memories that you may wish to share of Bill - a much-loved husband, father and grandfather.
