September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Candlelighters are challenging supporters to cycle, run, walk and swim 150 miles for the 150 Yorkshire children diagnosed with cancer each month. Never ones to refuse a challenge, Bingley Belles are joining in. Read the updates below through September to see what we’ve been up to

Welcome to our fundraising page. The Bingley Belles are supersizing our fundraising efforts for Candlelighters with a whole year of activities. Updates will be posted here and on social media.

Candlelighters support families in Yorkshire effected by childhood cancer. This support ranges from emotional, practical to financial and lasts through the family's full cancer journey. They are currently supporting the family of Belles members, so it's a charity close to our hearts.

Support includes talking therapies & wellbeing sessions, support on the wards and during appointments, respite care and holidays for the children, financial support and signposting.

Yorkshire is massive, and while it does have two Children's hospitals, many families have to travel large distances to & from Leeds for treatment. Candlelighters have accommodation in Leeds for families to use to make those journeys that bit easier.

Candlelighters also fund research into the treatment of childhood cancers.
