One of our kennel heaters unfortunately gave up the ghost last night and so now we’re looking to replace and also upgrade to a more efficient heater. The heater must be industrial for our main kennel block which houses 20 dogs and after looking at a few different options, we’ve decided on a kerosene hot air heater. The heating unit, ducting, heating oil and installation sadly is quite costly and will be around £5,000.

Thanks so much for all the recommendations of heating companies recently. We’re pleased that after a site survey, to have been given a quote for a new system which will provide new cost effective heating for our main kennel block and individual heaters in each kennel. This however is more than we thought and is going to be £8,600. We have already raised £3,008 and so we’re going to continue fundraising for the remaining amount.

Our Just Giving page is still running and we will probably do further raffles at some point to try and generate some more funds for the project.
