Story
With hotter temperatures on the horizon, we're having to make some changes to keep our dogs comfortable.
During the last heatwave, our kennels reached 32°C and we had some very unhappy dogs. 😔 Unfortunately, even with multiple fans running which were trip hazards, they offered very little relief. As a result, we've decided we need to invest in air-cooling units to help keep the kennels at a safer, more comfortable temperature.
We've found two water-cooled split air conditioning units (Broughton MCSe6.7-25) that would work well for us, and we've been offered a great deal on two ex-demo units. The total cost, including VAT, is £6,186.
These units won't just benefit us now. Once our new kennel block is built, they can be used there, or elsewhere on site, ensuring they continue to help our dogs for years to come.
Air conditioning is something we've never been able to implement before due to both the cost and our limited power supply. However, these units require less power to run, making them a practical solution for us. With increasingly extreme heatwaves becoming more common, we need to do everything we can to keep our dogs safe and comfortable.
If you'd like to contribute towards this project, we'd be incredibly grateful. Every donation, no matter how small, will help us get closer to our goal. If you have any fundraising ideas or would like to help in another way, please get in touch. 🥰

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. 💙
