On July 9th, 2025, Birstall Primary Academy will be participating in our very own Race for Life event at Oakwell Hall. This year, our fundraising efforts are especially meaningful as we dedicate them to the memory of our cherished and beloved colleague, Pat Timberley.

Pat devoted 18 years of dedicated service to the families and pupils of Birstall Primary Academy. She was a tireless advocate, working passionately to raise awareness for many important campaigns throughout her career. One of her most recent and heartfelt causes was Cancer Research, and this Race for Life stands as a powerful legacy of her commitment.

We aim to raise £500 for Cancer Research UK to support their vital work in fighting this dreadful disease, which sadly affects 1 in 2 people in the UK. Every single donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to our goal and contributes directly to funding crucial research. Together, we can honour Pat's memory and help find a cure.
