🇳🇵Emergency appeal: Supporting victims of Nepal’s Gen-Z protests
Children have been killed. Families are grieving. Hospitals are overwhelmed. Healthcare workers are risking everything.
Dear all,
Civil unrest in Nepal has spiralled into tragedy. What began as a protest against corruption and censorship has turned into a national crisis. Generation Z ; students, young professionals, even teenagers in school uniforms, walked into the streets demanding justice and transparency.
At least 19 people, including children, have been killed, and hundreds more injured. Hospitals are running short of essential supplies, staff are overwhelmed, and communities are in urgent need. Amid this crisis, frontline health workers are risking everything to continue caring for patients.
By partnering with HExN, we can deliver vital supplies and provide support to healthcare workers and patients where they are needed most ; quickly and securely.
Current milestones we are working on:
- Distribution of emergency medical kits
- Provision of food and care packages for staff and patients
- Long-term support and training for frontline healthcare workers through crisis and trauma management courses.
Every contribution helps. Please consider donating and sharing this appeal to help save lives. We are also identifying key locations where funds can make the greatest impact as the situation evolves.
We are grateful for the ground support of volunteers in hospitals across Nepal through the Global Surgery Simulation Network (GSSN), working in collaboration with partner organisations.
Yours sincerely,
