Emmie’s Books is a UK children’s charity that donates brand-new books to children undergoing cancer treatment in hospitals across the country.

A hospital stay can be long, isolating and frightening for a child. A book offers more than just a story - it provides comfort, escapism, distraction and a moment of joy during an incredibly difficult time.

Through the power of storytelling, Emmie’s Books helps children and their families find light in the darkest days.

This March, 7 members of Blackheath Prep staff are putting on their running shoes and completing the Elizabeth Park 5k, with two teachers even going for the 10k! Our staff team consists of Wendy Seers, Richard Lampard, Lauren Brockis, Monica Molina, Kelly Smyth, Harriet Totty and Bryoney Calnan!

By supporting this fundraiser and sponsoring these fabulous teachers, you are helping to put carefully chosen, brand-new books directly into the hands of children facing cancer treatment - giving them the chance to imagine, to dream, and to simply be children.
