Emily & Jack take on the Wales Triathlon (half iron man)

Emily Blackledge is raising money for The Julie Davies Foundation
In memory of Julie Davies

Fishguard Triathlon (middle distance) · 6 June 2026

To financially help people who suffer cancer or heart disease within the locality

Story

Here we go again... 2 years after doing the Tenby (half) long course weekend we've decided to put ourselves through more suffering, but this time all in one day. On 6th June we will be doing our first ever triathlon, which will include a 1.2 mile open water swim, 54 mile cycle and a 13 mile run.

Many of you will already know that our chosen charity - The Julie Davies Foundation - is one that is very close to my heart and a charity that I'm proud to be a trustee for. We provide grants to families in South Wales (CF/SA postcode) who are caring for a child with cancer or heart disease, to help alleviate some of the financial burden not covered by the NHS, for example, travel expenses or specialised equipment. The charity was set up in 2021 in loving memory of my wonderful cousin Julie, who beat cancer twice but was taken from us early due to a heart condition she was born with.

The charity is completely ran by volunteers, therefore all donations will go towards providing support to those who need it. Please visit https://thejuliedaviesfoundation.co.uk/ for further information about the charity, and please share with anyone you know that may fit the criteria to receive a grant.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this page, all donations are greatly appreciated.
