Those of you who know me, know that I am a little crazy and like to continuously push myself, sometimes beyond the limit. I am approaching 55 years of age, have had two knee operations and last year i ran over 2,400 miles

I believe in being uncomfortable....

Over the past two and a half years I have made some fantastic progress with my running. It helps me stay sane and focused, not to mention the wider health benefits for the body.

I have smashed all of the PB's over the following distances:-

5k Reduced from 23:00 to 19:09

10k Reduced from 46:00 to 39:46

1/2 Marathon Reduced from 1:42:00 to 1:28:52

Marathon Reduced from 3:47:30 to 3:17:38

My good for age marathon time has secured a qualifying spot in the worlds oldest and most prestigious of all running events:-

THE 129TH BOSTON MARATHON

This is a beast of a course with 891 feet of elevation gain over the 26.2 mile course

I have chosen to support the Alder Hey Children's Charity for this event. In June 2024, I joined Alder hey as the General Manager of the SPV (The organisation that represents the investors of the Hospital). Alder Hey is a magical place filled with magical people
