Chapter2 - 100KM for £100K

100KM Thames Path Challenge · 14 June 2025 · Start fundraising for this event
I have been a mentor to a boy for a few years, I have seen the impact and transformation that Chapter2 is having. At some point I asked him where he sees himself in 5 years, his answer was in prison! This has changed over the years with great optimism for the future.
I am aware that my contributions mentoring this boy alone will not be sufficient to address the cause at hand, it needs me to contribute beyond just this boy.
In Reading and the surrounding areas, there are approximately 100,000 boys. By the time these boys are 15 years of age, roughly 1 in 2 of them will not be living with both parents. The vast majority will be living with their mother and risk losing contact with their father.
These boys will grow up to face far more challenges than your average boy. Unemployment, academic failure, depression, chronic illness, anxiety and poverty later in life are all far more likely for fatherless boys.
So on Father's Day weekend 2025, together with a group a brave people, I will be setting out to walk (attempt) 100KM into Reading in just 24 hours. Their ultimate challenge is to raise £100K to bring an end to the fatherless crisis.
Please support Chapter2 as we see to write hope into the fatherless story.
