Hi, we're Beth and Fliss (Bliss for short) and we have decided to run the London Marathon in support of The Mulberry Bush Organisation.

As many of you may know Fliss and Beth come as a package deal and neither of us can do anything without the other one tagging along. (Including always finding away to work at the same place) So we thought that there was no better way to solidify (or test) our friendship than to run a marathon together. Now, we are both aware that we are not runners, in fact walking is a bit of task for us but if there is anything that could get us off our sofas and hit pause on Greys Anatomy/Vampire Diaries it would be The Mulberry Bush School.

We both started working for the school very recently Beth as a Therapeutic Childcare Practitioner and Fliss as the Fundraising and Events Administrator. Both very different jobs, we know, but it has allowed us to both see from different sides within the community of how truly amazing this school is. We think it would be impossible for us to attempt to put into words what the school does, because it is so much more than words can depict.

The Mulberry Bush School:

With your support we are able to reach not just 10's or 100's but 1000's of people who need our help.

Children come to The Mulberry Bush School https://mulberrybush.org.uk/ having experienced neglect and abuse, usually with a series of failed school and home placements. We provide residential care, education and therapy, with the aim of helping the children to face up to their trauma, to learn how to have hope and believe in themselves and their potential for a happy future.

These days, The Mulberry Bush is so much more than a school. We use our knowledge and research to work with professionals from all over the country and abroad, who work with children with mental health difficulties as a result of early trauma.

Any donations will help us massively, big or small. We apologise in advance for the amount of nagging you may all receive over the next 10 months !!!!!
