Story
Last year, in memory of our good friend and colleague Patrick Bloomfield, we launched the very first Patrick Bloomfield Sponsored Cycle in support of the British Heart Foundation. Together we pedalled over 800km and raised more than £1,500.
For those who knew Patrick, the sight of him with his trusty Brompton was as familiar as his bow ties or his knack for bringing fun to even the driest Teams call. He was a passionate cyclist, a fierce advocate for others, and a reminder that you can be both playful and professional. This ride is our way of celebrating him in the spirit he’d have loved - pushing ourselves, sharing a laugh, and doing something meaningful together.
This year we’re going bigger: more kilometres, more donations, and (if the rumours are true) a bit of healthy competition from other offices.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK, but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives each year. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures.
