Bluebird Care Stevenage & North Herts fundraiser for Alzheimer's Society

Variety of fundraisers including a bake sale, walking challenge, and longest zip wire in the UK
We did it!
Following on from our successful fundraiser at Barkfordshire festival and our very own Claire completing the fastest zip line in the world, Velocity, in North Wales on 8 September, Robert (second left) and Sarah (far left) have now completed their challenge to walk 350 km from 1st August culminating in handing over the baton to Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire in Shefford, at the end of the final stage.
Bluebird Care are committed to making the lives of people with dementia and their families better. Robert has an additional personal motivation as his father had dementia in the final stages of his life. So, he is fully aware of the challenges dementia poses for the person living with dementia and their close family.
Along with other members of the Bluebird Care Stevenage & North Herts team, Robert and Sarah made their way to Shefford to carry the pledge to meet halfway with fellow office, Bluebird Care Central Bedfordshire contributing to the 800+ miles this pledge will travel around the UK!
There are 982,000 people in the UK living with dementia in the UK and the numbers are rising.
Bluebird Care Stevenage & North Herts is supporting Alzheimer’s Society in their bid to work towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.
