Blythe Welsford is raising money for Women's Aid Federation Of England

Bake Sale and Coffee Morning · 23 May 2026

Women’s Aid Federation of England is the national charity working against domestic abuse. Alongside our campaigning, training, and advocacy work, our support services, including our No Woman Turned Away project, break down barriers preventing survivors from accessing refuge.

Story

1 in 3 women experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. 370 million women and girls have their lives irreversibly altered by domestic abuse every year. As a group of young girls, it disappoints us that these figures are so astonishingly high. We want to live without fear, and we want other girls to live the same way. We are all humans. Women's rights are human rights, and we need to stop the disparity. Only together can that happen.

As our Welsh Baccalaureate project, we decided to organise a sponsored coffee morning and bake sale to raise money for a chosen charity. We choose Women's Aid.

For over 50 years, Women’s Aid have provided life-saving support to women escaping abusive relationships. By fundraising, we are supporting their mission to empower more survivors to find safer, brighter futures.

Help us to keep their vital services running. Help to provide support for women and girls across the world. Help to end domestic abuse. Donate today to provide a chance of solace and safety.
