On 23 October 2025, things are going to get heated because I’ll be taking part in Hospiscare’s Firewalk! I’ll be braving the blaze and walking on embers reaching temperatures of 1,200 degrees, all to raise funds for my local hospice, Hospiscare.

Hospiscare are a local charity, caring for terminally ill patients and their families across Exeter, Mid and East Devon. Their teams of doctors and nurses offer specialist palliative care, to ensure that patients can make the most of the time they have left.

No one should have to face one of life’s most difficult journeys alone. So please, if you can, make a donation today and help ensure Hospiscare can continue to be there for our community, now and in the future. Thank you!

I will be doing this for my Auntie Tina as Exeter hospiscare were incredible to my auntie on her last days. She was diagnosed with cancer 8 weeks before she sadly passed away in hospiscare July 25th 2025. It’s also being held at Bicton College where my cousin Katie used to attend (Tina’s daughter who had also passed away in 2018).

So this was definitely my sign to do this and raise what I can for the charity.
