Story
This year, my world changed in a way I never expected. At just 37 years old, I am facing the likely certainty that i have Multiple Sclerosis (MS). After months of tests, uncertainty, and trying to make sense of symptoms that I couldn't explain.
My scans showed lesions on my brain, and while no one can tell me exactly what the future holds, I know that MS is unpredictable. There is a possibility that it could affect my speech, my mobility, and many other parts of my life in the years ahead.
Living with that uncertainty is one of the hardest parts of this diagnosis. MS has been an emotional rollercoaster. Some days I feel like myself, and other days I'm reminded that this likely condition is now part of my life. I've had to learn to slow down, listen to my body, and face the fear of not knowing what the future holds. But I've also realised how important it is to keep moving forward, one step at a time.
That's why I'm taking on the 50 Miles with Bleu for MS challenge. Alongside my puppy Bleu, I'll be walking 50 miles to raise money for MS research and support. Every step is a reminder that although MS has changed my life, it won't stop me from living it.
I'm raising money not only for myself, but for everyone living with MS—the people newly diagnosed, those who've been fighting it for years, and the families who walk this journey beside them. I hope that one day, through research and support, fewer people will have to hear the words, "You have MS."
If you can donate, no matter the amount, I'd be incredibly grateful. Your support will help fund vital research, improve support for people living with MS, and bring hope for a future where no one has to face this disease.
Thank you for helping me turn something so difficult into something positive. Bleu and I can't wait to get started him more than me and we'll be thinking of everyone we're walking for with every single mile. ❤️
