Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page, please read on to discover what the pair have agreed to!!
The Challenge
From 1st July, neither Bobby or Pete is allowed to cut their hair until 31st December 2026! If either of them caves in before then, they will donate £300 to Cancer Research UK. If they both make it all the way to New Year's Eve, they'll split the challenge and each donate £150 instead.
It's a challenge that may make them feel self conscious, as they may not look their best along the way and they're hoping that their growing locks won't frighten the customers away—but it's all in aid of a fantastic cause. A few bad hair days are insignificant compared to the courage, strength, and resilience shown every day by those living with cancer and those undergoing treatment.
If you'd like to support this fantastic cause, please consider making a donation. Every pound helps fund life-saving research and brings us closer to a future with more birthdays, more memories, and fewer lives lost to cancer.
Together, we can help change the future of cancer.
The Reason
Bob and Pete have chosen to support Cancer Research UK because cancer has touched the lives of so many people close to them. Earlier this year, Bob sadly lost his mum to cancer, and Pete lost his aunt after a courageous fight with the disease. In addition, two close family members and a close friend are currently undergoing treatment for cancer.
Like many of us, they also know others who have faced cancer in the past and those who continue to face it today. This challenge is their way of honouring those they have lost, supporting those still fighting, and raising money and awareness for a cause that means a great deal to them.
The Charity
Cancer Research UK funds vital research to help prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. Its work has contributed to major advances in cancer survival and treatment, helping to improve and save countless lives. The charity also provides reliable information and support for people affected by cancer. Its goal is simple but powerful: to create a world where more people survive cancer.
Thank you
Love Bobby & Pete xx
