I shall celebrate my 79th birthday in India on February 21st.

I am returning to India on an extended visit, to visit the schools projects that are supported by my charity – Escape from Poverty (https://escapefrompoverty.org.uk/) and to make a silent retreat for the month of February at Shantivanam, (https://www.shantivanamashram.com/ ) the ashram/monastery of which I am an oblate (secular member.)

I will be silent and in solitary confinement every day from midnight to noon through the month of February, and I am asking my supporters if they will consider supporting my fundraising through Just Giving.

All funds raised will go to support the education of a group of children living in the slums of Bangalore, whose education we have been subsidising for the past 5 years.
