Story

🚴🏾‍♂️ 400-Km Birthday Ride for TOUCEO – Empowering Young Farmers in Uganda.

Hi friends, family, and supporters from near and far,

My name is Bob, and I’m taking on an extraordinary challenge to mark a very special occasion — my birthday on 27th May! Instead of gifts 🎁 this year, I’m asking you to convert presents into purpose by donating to a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart.

Over 27 days, I’ll be riding a total of 400 Km — indoors and outdoors — to raise £2,000 for TOUCEO, a UK-registered charity I co-founded that is transforming the lives of young people in Uganda through Education, Health, and Vocation.

🚲 Why This Ride?

I’m not a cyclist. In fact, this is my first-ever long-distance bike challenge. But I’m doing this because the mission matters. The pain in my legs is temporary — the change we can create together is lasting.

Having grown up in Uganda, I’ve personally witnessed the devastating effects of poverty. I know what it feels like to have potential but no opportunity. Now that I’m in a position of privilege by God’s grace, my calling is to help young people break free from that same cycle of systemic poverty through empowerment.

TOUCEO — Trust Offering Underprivileged Children Educational Opportunities — exists to do exactly that.

🌾 The Mission: £2,000 for 10 Young Farmers

All funds from this ride will go toward empowering 10 young farmers in Uganda. These passionate, capable individuals selected by TOUCEO just need a chance.

With your support, each will:

✅ Receive practical training in agriculture or animal keeping.

✅ Get startup resources to launch their farm project.

✅ Be mentored and monitored by the TOUCEO team to ensure long-term success.

These aren’t handouts —they’re opportunities for independence and dignity.

I am asking for £5 per Km, and I’m aiming for 400 fundraising Km. That’s £2,000 total to equip 10 young farmers with tools for lasting transformation.

💬 A Final Word From Me

This ride is symbolic of movement, of momentum, of rising against the odds. I’ve witnessed the story of poverty, and now I get to live the story of purpose.

Your support means everything. Whether it's £5 or £50, a cheer or a share, you’re part of something meaningful.
