Bob's Marathon for a Cause: Supporting Men's Mental Health

NZ Sotheby's International Realty Queenstown Marathon · 16 November 2024
Since I arrived in New Zealand for my exchange program, I've discovered a love for running that I never knew I had. Over the past few months, I've logged over 300km and a half-marathon, and it’s been an incredible journey—both physically and emotionally. Now, I'm gearing up for my next big challenge: the Queenstown Marathon!
Being in New Zealand has truly been one of the happiest times of my life. The stunning landscapes and vibrant culture have inspired me to reflect on what really matters. I feel so grateful for this experience and I have hope for other young people to find similar happiness and fulfilment in their lives.
Men’s mental health is a cause that hits close to home. I’ve seen friends and family struggle with their mental health, and sadly, some which have lost their battles. These experiences have opened my eyes to the importance of talking about mental health openly and honestly. I want to help change the narrative and it’s time to break the stigma. That’s why I’m running this marathon—not just for myself, but for all those who feel they can’t speak up.
I’m asking for your support as I take on this marathon challenge. Any donation you can make will go towards Walk and Talk for Men's Mental Health that are dedicated to improving men's mental health and providing vital resources for those in need.
