We rescue and rehome Vizslas throughout the UK, we provide emergency fostering, we maintain lifelong contact with every dog we rehome, we arrange vet treatment for surrendered dogs in poor health, we supply training and behavioural advice free of charge to Vizsla owners in need of help.

Story

We recently lost our beloved Hungarian Vizsla Bodhi through extremely sad circumstances. To honour Bodhi’s life we are walking 25km around all of her favourite walks in Sheffield on 16th November, in order to fundraise for Vizsla Welfare and support the incredible work that they do.

Vizsla Welfare is a registered UK based charity (no. 1147353) and a Kennel Club Approved rescue and rehoming organisation. Set up in 2012, they were the first independent UK charity solely devoted to the rehoming, health and welfare of the Hungarian Vizsla. Their Trustees, Welfare Officers, admin assistants and rehoming helpers are all volunteers, and working together we cover the whole of the UK mainland. They are affiliated to the Hungarian Vizsla Club, the oldest UK organisation dedicated to the breed, and also work closely with the Hungarian Wire-haired Vizsla Club.
