Story
To conclude our topic Starry Night we wanted to take part in a sponsored charity event. So we will walk from the swimming pool end of King George's walk to the end, by the park, and back again in the deep dark night. This will be a great challenge and build on our launch event of a night walk around the school.
This charity is especially important to us at Bodriggy Academy as we have a child in the Early Years who has been battling with Leukaemia for some time with their support.
Here is some more information on the wonderous work this charity do:
When a child is diagnosed with cancer life becomes full of fear, for them and their family. Fear of treatment, but also of families being torn apart, overwhelming money worries, of having nowhere to turn, no one to talk to.
At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you.
