We support those affected by HIE to improve wellbeing and raise awareness

Story

Peeps is a remarkable charity dedicated to supporting children and their families who have been impacted by Hypoxic-Ischaemic Encephalopathy (HIE) – a condition characterised by a lack of oxygen to the brain, often leading to severe brain injury.

Why We're Walking on Glass:

We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life, and we are determined to play our part in making that a reality. That's why we're taking on the challenge of walking on glass – a symbolic gesture that mirrors the strength and resilience shown by HIE survivors and their families every day. With your support, we can raise much-needed funds for this incredible charity and create a brighter future for those with HIE.

Participants:

The members of BBK’s child brain injury team who are taking on the challenge are: Charlotte Wailes, Cheryl Abrahams, Hanan Zakher, Hema Wanza, Jessica Nutting, Kimberly Mendonca, Michael Doyle, Stephanie De La Haye, Sally Simpson, Siobhan Rochford and Tamsin Day.

How You Can Help:

Donate: Every contribution, big or small, makes a significant impact. Your donation will directly support Peeps in their mission to improve the lives of those with HIE and their families.

Share: Spread the word about our Glass Walk fundraiser by sharing this page with your friends, family, and colleagues. The more people who know about our cause, the closer we get to our goal.

Your generous support will help Peeps continue their invaluable work, providing essential resources, guidance, and hope to those facing the challenges of HIE. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of countless families.

We support those affected by HIE (hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy), which is a lack of oxygen to the brain that can cause injury. We offer practical, financial and emotional support, at any stage of the HIE journey, and want to ensure that no-one feels they are on their own.
