Story
Every 90 minutes, someone dies by suicide in the UK.
It’s a heartbreaking statistic, but it’s also why I’m raising money for Samaritans.
Life can be wonderful, but it can also be incredibly difficult. In fact, 1 in 4 of us will experience suicidal thoughts at some point in our lives. When someone is struggling, having a safe space to talk can make all the difference.
Samaritans works to prevent suicide through the power of human connection. Every day and night, trained volunteers are there to listen without judgement, offering support to people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn.
As a volunteer, I’ve seen first-hand how important it is that this service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. No one should have to face their darkest moments alone.
If you’re able to, please consider making a donation. Every contribution helps Samaritans continue to answer calls, respond to messages, train volunteers and be there for anyone who needs support.
Together, we can help save lives.
Thank you for your support.
