2026 may have been the National Year of Reading, but reading is for life, not just one year. So, in an effort to re-engage kids in our Tower Hamlets and Hackney communities, Bàrd Books and It’s Your Life are working together to launch BookMark in the Park in September 2017.
BookMark in the Park is a community-centred literary event in Victoria Park, East London, dedicated to celebrating children’s books, literacy, creativity, and lifelong learning. The festival will bring together children, families, educators, authors, illustrators, publishers, and the community for a day of storytelling, workshops, performances, book signings, and interactive educational experiences.
Without your help, we can’t make this happen. Do it for the kids.
