Sowerby Bridge to Manchester Canal Walk · 7 September 2024

Every working day in the UK two construction workers take their own life. We are the only charity providing emotional, physical and financial support to the construction community through our 24/7 Helpline.

Story

Boss Training are proudly supporting The Lighthouse Club and the amazing work they do, they are a charity very close to our hearts.

Every working day two construction workers take their own life in the UK. The Lighthouse Club are the only charity that provides mental, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.

They provide a 24/7 Construction Industry Helpline which provides free and confidential support services and this is complemented by their free Construction Industry Helpline App which offers expert guidance on a huge variety of wellbeing issues.

In order to help them raise vital funds and continue their amazing work 8 members of the Boss Training team will be attempting to walk from Sowerby Bridge to Manchester on the canal.

The Rochdale Canal towpath runs 32 miles. The route crosses the Pennines, passing through the Upper Calder Valley and offering stunning views. The canal's steep climb means there are many locks, making the journey challenging but rewarding. The challenge will take place on Saturday 7th September 2024.

Any donations are greatly appreciated to help us reach our £1000 target!

Thank you for the support.
