In the summer of 2027, 8 young people and 4 leaders from 1st Burnham-on-Sea Scout Group will be taking part in once-in-a-lifetime international Scouting trips.

3 young people will be travelling to the World Scout Jamboree in Poland, joining tens of thousands of Scouts from across the globe.

5 young people and 4 leaders will be joining 56 other Scouts from across Somerset on a European tour, visiting Germany, Italy, Switzerland and France.

Both trips will last just over two weeks and are designed to help young people develop teamwork, confidence and leadership skills, while learning about international cultures, building global friendships, and enjoying plenty of fun and adventure along the way.

Experiences like these can be truly life-changing, but they come at a significant cost. Each Scout and leader must raise thousands of pounds to cover travel, accommodation, activities and participation fees.

We are fundraising to help make these opportunities accessible to our young people and to ensure that no one misses out due to cost. Any donation, big or small, will help support our Scouts on their international journey and invest in their future.
