The Bostan Bros are taking part in the 2025 Pakistan Skardu Challenge hiking to Haramosh base camp to provide water for life!

785 million people around the globe do not have access to clean water - a basic human right as our world is facing possibly some of the biggest challenges ever with climate change and countless conflicts the need for clean, safe water is more important than ever. It is one of those causes that we generally forget about but is so critical to so many in need.

Islamic Relief is working worldwide in over 40 countries to ensure that communities have a safe and reliable source of water for life. Pakistan is amongst the most water-stressed countries in the world. Only 36% of the population has access to safe water, a problem that will likely get worse in the upcoming years.

Those who do have access to water are often drinking contaminated water, which is then resulting in many waterborne diseases such as cholera, guinea worm disease, typhoid, and dysentery. This is a direct result of issues such as damaged distribution lines from main tube well & storage tanks that are cracked and external contaminants from sewage lines.

To address this critical need, Islamic Relief is working with communities in Pakistan to install water filtration plants that serve entire communities, installed to clean water before it’s taken from the tap, ensuring water is safe for consumption.
