Story

On Sunday 26th April 2026, I ran the TCS London Marathon in a suit and dress shoes, and broke the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Marathon in a Suit and Dress Shoes (Male), finishing in 3:21:42. The previous record was 3:23:24. I broke it by just under two minutes.

Throughout the course, the support from the crowd was almost overwhelming. And since the "finance bro doing a marathon" video started circulating (https://www.tiktok.com/@bhavz12/video/7633128546956807446) it felt like a shame to let all that positivity just disappear.

So here we are.

I didn't set up a fundraising page before the race. I've run a lot of marathons, and friends and family can only be asked so many times. But the reaction to this one has been different, and it felt wrong not to do something meaningful with it.

Cancer Research UK is close to my heart for two reasons. I used to work there, so I know first-hand the importance of what they do. And a few of my family have had or are currently living with cancer, so it would mean a lot to me and my family if you would donate.

If this story made you smile, or the video caught your eye - please consider donating. Every pound funds research that gives people more time.

Thank you.
