Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Mrs Anderton, Mrs Partington and Miss Wilson have chosen to raise money for the British Heart Foundation rather than to receive a 'Leaving Gift'. We would be so grateful for your support.

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. Every pound helps so please give what you can to help them hit my target. Thanks!

From Mrs Mellor:

It has been an enormous pleasure to spend half of my working years here at Bowbrook House School. I will miss Bowbrook enormously. The people who make up our school are so very special, with the finest qualities of friendship and compassion.

In recent years it has been my rock: I have been hugely privileged and blessed to have enjoyed good health all through my life. Members of my own family have not been so lucky. My nephew going through a sudden illness which resulted in needing a heart transplant.

We cannot express enough our gratitude to the groundbreaking researchers and medics who made this possible. We will always be thankful also to the brave donor families who, even in their loss, give life to others through their generosity.

JM

From Mrs Partington:

I will be taking many happy memories from both inside the classroom from my time at Bowbrook House School. Various extracurricular activities such as D of E and the French trips especially. This is an amazing community and a great team of staff to work with, where a teacher can teach and pupils are given every opportunity to be their best selves.

I have a close interest in the British Heart Foundation due to family and friends who have needed and will need their help in the future. The research they do is ground-breaking and it is a cause close to my 'heart', every donation is valuable and so many thanks for whatever you are able to give.

Thank you,

KP

From Miss Wilson:

I have worked in my lifetime in many schools but have never worked in a place where the staff have been so caring and understanding to the children's needs.

I am thankful to Bowbrook for allowing me to support your children through life’s challenges and have helped them find the strategies to cope with daily Life.

I have chosen this charity because my daughter has had a poorly heart since she was born. The money that you donate will go to help other adults and children in desperate need.

Finally I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for always supporting the school and myself.

Thank you,

CW
