Story
On Thursday 31st July at 7pm I will commence a gruelling non-stop 24 hour triathlon in memory of two of my closest friends Neil Clark and Chris Cheetham who sadly passed away within two weeks of each other at the start of the year.
However as I have absolutely no desire or ability to run, swim or cycle anywhere, this special triathlon challenge will involve 24 hours of playing non-stop darts, snooker and bowls and will take place on Thursday July 31st from 7pm until 7pm on Friday August 1st at Ilkley Bowling Club - a place where Clarky and Cheets spent so many happy times.
Each hour I’ll be joined by friends and family who have kindly given up an hour of their time to support me with all money raised going towards Macmillan Cancer in memory of Clarky and Cheets.
If you could support me by donating whatever you can or by cheering me on throughout the day and across the finish line on Yorkshire Day at 7pm, that would be brilliant.
The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, and every one of them needs the best support to meet their unique needs.
That's why Macmillan will do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK get the support they need right now and transform cancer care for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving, once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
