Before 2010 I can honestly say I had not heard of pancreatic cancer. Since then it has had a devastating impact on my family, my closest friends and my work colleagues.

What you need to know:

- pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of the common cancers

- only around 7% of those diagnosed survive beyond 5 years

- the average survival time from diagnosis is 6 – 9 months

- despite these statistics, research into pancreatic cancer has been underfunded for decades

To help raise awareness of pancreatic cancer I will be walking from sunrise to sunset on Saturday the 17th June 2023, a total of 16hr:37 minutes.
