Brackley - MediCinema Appeal

Brackley House is raising money for Manchester Foundation Trust Charity

Team: Bridgewater School - MediCinema Appeal

We raise funds to support Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust’s family of hospitals, including: Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital | Manchester Royal Infirmary | Wythenshawe Hospital | Manchester Royal Eye Hospital | Saint Mary’s Hospital | North Manchester General Hospital

Story

This spring term, our Senior School pupils at Bridgewater have come together with one shared goal: to raise as much money as possible for the incredible MediCinema Appeal at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

The hospital is the largest and busiest children’s hospital in the UK, and it is a place that means a great deal to many families in our Bridgewater community. Several of our own pupils and families have experienced first-hand the outstanding care, compassion and support provided there.

That is why our students unanimously chose to support the hospital’s MediCinema Appeal - an inspiring project that will bring Manchester’s first in-hospital cinema to patients. This special cinema space will provide children and adults with precious moments of magic, distraction and escapism during what can often be frightening and challenging hospital stays.

Three Houses. One Cause.

Across Egerton, Ellesmere and Brackley Houses, students are organising a series of exciting fundraising events. Every donation not only supports an amazing cause, but also earns House points and serious House pride.

Here’s what our pupils have planned:

Egerton House – Cinema Days (3rd & 4th March)

Brackley House – Weekly Tuck Shop (From 5th March)

Ellesmere House – Darts Tournament (9th March) & Beat the Keeper (20th March)

Whole School Own Clothes Day – 27th March
