Running the London Marathon has been a lifelong goal, and with it falling just days before my 40th birthday, this feels like the perfect time.

I’m running in memory of our first son, Everett, who was born at 20weeks in September 2017. I want to thank Vilomah for helping me through some of my darkest times, and to raise awareness of the incredible support they provide to bereaved parents.

Vilomah is a charity that provides grief care boxes and counselling services to hospitals and hospices, for midwives and nurses to offer to bereaved parents in their care. Along with the this, they also offer a support service to parents after their loss, whether it was during pregnancy, at birth or soon after through our social events.

The service offers families the chance to talk to someone who has an understanding of what they’re going through and helps them feel they’re not alone.
