Story
I have been selected to be part of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust's 2026 London Marathon team. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust provides support to lots of people with CF and their families throughout the UK.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.
CF comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop CF.
This is my first time doing a marathon, having done my first half marathon in 2025. I will be sharing my training journey and information about CF, as well as the important work the Cystic Fibrosis Trust does. Whilst this marathon and the training will be tough but I am proud to be raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
