Story
On July 19th and 20th, I will be undertaking an extraordinary challenge: completing two ultra marathons in two consecutive days. This entails running 50 km each day, with an elevation gain of 1,200 meters per day, totalling 100 km and 2,400 meters of ascent over the weekend. The physical demands of this endeavour are immense, but its all for an amazing cause.
I've chosen to dedicate this effort to fundraising for Hospitality Action, a remarkable charity that has been supporting individuals in the hospitality industry since 1837. Hospitality Action offers vital assistance to all who work, or have worked, within hospitality in the UK. They provide a range of services, including financial relief to alleviate poverty, counselling for mental health challenges, and support for those dealing with illness, bereavement, debt, or addiction. Additionally, they run an outreach program to combat loneliness among hospitality retirees.
Having dedicated nearly 13 years to the hospitality industry, I've witnessed first-hand the invaluable support that Hospitality Action provides to individuals during their most challenging times. This experience has deeply motivated me to take on this formidable challenge to raise funds for Hospitality Action. By supporting my fundraising efforts, you're contributing to a charity that ensures hospitality professionals receive the help, advice, and support they need when times get tough. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many.
