This World Suicide Prevention Day, Suicide Prevention UK volunteers and supporters are taking on the challenge of climbing the highest peak in Wales - Pen y Fan. Raising the important message for support for mental health, and suicide prevention.

Story

On September 10th, World Suicide Prevention Day, me and a team of selfless volunteers from Suicide Prevention UK will be climbing Pen Y Fan #MovingMountainsforMentalHealth. This incredible challenge is about raising awareness and showing those struggling with their mental health that they are not alone. We also know how exercise releases chemicals into your body such as endorphins and serotonin that help improve your mood. So let’s get moving

Since 2018, Suicide Prevention UK has been supporting those in crisis with teams of volunteers who patrol high risk locations and Crisis Call Handlers who are available every day of the year. They are passionate about doing all they can to prevent suicide and this challenge is a testament to that.

The team needs your help to reach their target of £300 to make this challenge a success. With your support, they can continue to provide care and compassion for those in need and spread the message that there is always hope. Please join us in #MovingMountainsforMentalHealth on September 10th, 2023.
