London Marathon 2026 in aid of Barts Charity - In memory of Raymond Hunt

London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·
Raymond was a man who was driven to succeed and always had a goal in mind. He was brave, resilient, and powered through life’s knockbacks. He was a kind and loving, husband, father, grandad, son and dear friend, who was generous, had a great sense of humour, and was an inspiration to others.
Raymond, whose incredible strength and kind soul touched the lives of all who knew him, spent approximately a decade under the care of St Bartholomew’s Hospital, receiving treatment for Lymphoma Cancer from the dedicated team in the Hematology department.
The staff at St Bartholomew’s hospital certainly looked after Raymond and it gave him comfort seeing familiar friendly faces when having to visit or go there. They even nicknamed him the Miracle Man as he often won his battles even against the greatest of odds!
Raymond’s journey was marked by numerous rounds of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and two stem cell treatments, the latter of which involved a selfless donation from his daughter, Anna. Even though the treatments were successful and helped Raymond spend more time with his family, sadly, he passed away in December 2023.
I will be running the 2026 London Marathon in memory of Raymond, to celebrate his life and to express gratitude towards the efforts of St Bartholomew’s staff, on behalf of Raymond’s family but also to raise money to show appreciation for everything St Bartholomew’s hospital have done over the years and to show support for them for all they do in the future and our futures.
I would greatly value your support when I run the London Marathon in 2026, any and all donations will be welcomed and immensely appreciated as they will be going towards supporting a wonderful and amazing cause.
Thank you for your kind donation
Brad
