Story
I can't believe it's 11 years since my first TUF challenge in India. For the next piece of wonderful fundraising craziness I and a group of around 30 patients, medics and supporters will be spending 5 days cycling in Tanzania, starting in the shadow of Kilimanjaro and finishing at the Ngorongoro crater. We're expecting the roads to be somewhat more difficult than England (although the potholes round here may make that untrue) with a mix of rough surface roads and offroad across the bush with two nights under canvas. So my usual promise of justifying your donation with my discomfort and pain on the saddle should hold true. The Urology Foundation continues to drive advances in UTI care (UTIs account for 50% of antibiotic prescriptions in the UK), Bladder & Penile Cancer awareness, research & treatment, as well as Prostate Cancer. My mother, 94 this year, has been sucessfully treated for bladder cancer with state of the art techniques and features in a video on the TUF website. As always, I will be covering the costs associated with travel etc, as well as making a donation, so any donation you would consider of any size will go towards TUF's valuable work and will be very much appreciated.
