Juliette Horobin is raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity

Triathlon · 13 July 2025

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we’re moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. A cure really can’t wait

Story

On 24th December 2024, following a seizure, our Papa was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.

Our whole lives flipped upside down that week, as we discovered a stage 4, inoperable glioblastoma. Drug charts, seizures and palliative care conversations became part of our new normal.

It has been a dark few months for our family, but we are trying to make the most of this time together, spending it with family and friends and finding moments of joy. We are exceptionally proud of our family unit, and especially Maman and Papa who are navigating the impossible.

We are painfully aware that time is not on our side; brain cancers are among the least survivable types of cancer. This is why fundraising for organisations like The Brain Tumour Charity (TBTC) is essential.

During this time, TBTC have been a beacon of support, offering our family counselling, financial advice and vital information about treatment options.

Therefore, we will be participating in the Dorney triathlon on 13th July 2025 to raise funds for TBTC with a target of £1,000.

1.5km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run will be a big challenge for the both of us!

If anyone would like to join the triathlon please get in touch with either of us - the more the better!
