After spending some time volunteering with Braintree Area Foodbank, I felt a deep calling to find new ways to raise funds to support their vital work. By joining me for a Fundraiser Dinner on Sunday 10 September 2025, you can enjoy delicious food and great company while making a meaningful contribution. Braintree Area Foodbank has been providing essential food supplies for those in crisis since April 2012. The mission is clear: no one should go hungry. With centres located in Braintree, Halstead, and Witham, the need for the Foodbank continues to grow. In the last financial year (2024/25), 11,866 parcels, 4,484 of which went to children. These numbers are not just statistics; they represent real people facing difficult circumstances.

There are many reasons why someone may find themselves in food poverty—low income, benefit delays, unexpected bills, unemployment, and more. The ongoing cost of living crisis exacerbates these challenges for those without savings or financial security. The Foodbank operates on a voucher-based system where individuals can collect food parcels from our centres after speaking with referral agencies.

Visitors are welcomed with a smile and a warm cup of tea or coffee in a friendly and non-judgemental environment. While all food is generously donated by the community, it costs over £425,000 each year to run the charity and continue supporting those in need. Every penny truly makes a difference.
