Story
This year Bower Bailey have chosen Brain Tumour Research as one of our fundraising targets for 2026.
Brain tumours kill more children and adults under 40 than any other cancer, yet since 2002, just 1% of the national cancer research budget has been allocated to this disease. There are still not enough treatment options, and too many families are left without hope. Faster diagnoses and better treatments could save lives.
Our team member has first-hand experience of the vital work Brain Tumour Research do, and we are determined to make this year count. In 2023, our colleague was diagnosed with a meningioma brain tumour. This was an unexpected diagnosis and she didn't know much about brain tumours or seizures, but the work Brain Tumour Research do was of immeasurable value to her during this time.
We are launching in March during Brain Tumour Awareness Month, and we aim to raise funds at a Bake Sale on Friday 27th.
