I am raising money for York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity to support Scarborough’s special care baby unit. My eldest son spent a week there after being born at 36 weeks, and it was a challenging time for my family. However, the incredible staff made this journey so much easier for us. The personalised progress book of my son really helped make myself and my partner feel like we weren’t alone and that the staff cared for our baby as much as we did. I formed lasting friendships with other parents who were going through similar experiences who also treasure their memory books from SCBU.

One day, a fellow parent shared that the nurses could no longer create memory books for their babies due to lack of funding, and it truly broke my heart. I still cherish my son's memory book seven years later and read it often, as it holds precious memories of his early days.

This is why I am participating in a Tattoo Raffle , to hopefully raise at least £300 for this vital cause. Together, we can ensure that every family has access to these beautiful keepsakes that celebrate their little ones' journeys. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of families facing similar challenges.
