In just two weeks, an incredible journey awaits Paul, Henry and Brandy as we set our sights on Malawi, embarking on an adventure that goes far beyond the ordinary. With hearts full of excitement and purpose, we invite you to join us on this meaningful endeavor.
Our mission is twofold:
1. To shed light on the remarkable work being done by the MicroLoan Foundation (MLF) in creating sustainable economic opportunities for families in sub-Saharan Africa, and
2. Forge personal connections with the courageous women who are at the heart of MLF's impact.
Picture this: traversing the majestic terrain of Mount Mulanje, the highest peak in Malawi, for four unforgettable days. As we ascend to new heights, we'll be joined by fellow board members and staff with a deep sense of purpose. BUT, the real magic lies in what comes next – meeting with MLF clients and local staff, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of microfinance in action.
Is it simply for the thrill of the unknown? Perhaps, but our journey is driven by something far greater – a profound belief in the potential of microfinance to create lasting, positive change. As a board member of MicroLoan Foundation USA, Brandy has seen firsthand the profound effects of microloans and financial literacy training. From empowering women to start their own businesses to providing children with access to essentials like food, healthcare, and education, MLF's impact is nothing short of extraordinary.
Since 2002, MLF has empowered over 450,000 women to break the cycle of poverty, with a remarkable repayment rate of 98%. But our work is far from done. With your support, we can expand MLF's reach, providing even more women in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe with the tools they need to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
Last year Cyclone Freddy ravaged Malawi, resulting in the loss of homes, crops, and livelihoods. Women in the communities where MicroLoan Foundation USA works were among those severely affected. For many women Cyclone Freddy was the final straw which forced them to turn to desperate measures including prostitution to feed their families.
Every penny we raise will go directly to MLF, helping to increase lending capacity and substitute income generation through training and loans to help restart sustainable business.
We're not just asking for your donation – we're inviting you to be a part of something truly special. Your generosity has the power to change lives – not just for today, but for generations to come.

Brandy, Paul & Henry
