Story
My life changed last year when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The road to recovery was long, and it involved many, many hours spent being treated at The Royal Marsden. Their care, compassion, and expertise carried me through one of the hardest chapters of my life - and I'll never forget what they did for me.
This year, I want to give something back. I'm taking on the London to Brighton Cycle ride on the 14th of September - a distance of around 50 miles. This will help them continue to provide high quality treatment for so many others. They have facilities for adults, children, and even carers - a separate centre on the side where my husband spent many days working remotely with access to hot drinks, food, and counsellors. It's not just the patients - it's also the people closest in their lives who are also affected.
Every donation, big or small, will go directly to the centre and the patients and families there today. If you're able to contribute, you'll not only be backing me on this ride - you'll be making a real difference to the people at a point in their lives where they need it the most.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
