Story
Sohan is a proud and happy pupil at Braywick Court School, he happens to have Trisomy 21, also known as Downs Syndrome (DS). DS is the world's most common genetic neurodevelopmental disorder. Yet people still underestimate what individuals with DS can grow up to become. They can star in Oscar-winning movies and, if they're lucky, host on Cbeebies! Children with DS thrive in mainstream schools like Braywick Court and can go on to work and live independently, just like everyone else.
Help us to raise awareness and much-needed funds to help children like Sohan belong and be supported for who they can be, not what they were born with.
We've nominated a charity that has been at the forefront of medical research for Downs Syndrome (T21) for 20 yrs. Their research helps parents, professionals & public better understand T21 to support improved well-being and quality of life. So that more children like Sohan can flourish and attend mainstream schools like Braywick Court.
Thank you for helping Sohan feel so welcome and for your contribution for DS research. A special mention goes to each and every pupil in Sequioa class and his teachers, TAs & Senco. Sohan absolutely LOVES school because of you! He's proud to say he belongs at Braywick Court School - and you help to make sure he does! Thank you x
