It has been 10 years this year since our lovely Mum died - so us Brothers are doing a memorial fundraiser in her honour.

In case you were not aware (where have you been)? Mum found out she had a BRCA2 gene alteration just before she died. This made her at great risk of breast & ovarian cancer (she died of ovarian cancer).

Since her death, 4 of us 5 have found out we inherited this faulty BRCA2 gene pre-disposing us to certain hereditary cancers. Our littlest sister, being the go-getter she is - took action. She not only had a preventative mastectomy, but founded THIS charity - BRCA+ Chat.

She didn’t want anyone to go through this journey alone, and wanted to raise awareness, so others didn’t die, when they had preventative options (Mum would have been able to remove her ovaries before cancer if she had known).

So, this is a charity, very close to our hearts - and family! What better way to remember our Mum with a cheeky little fundraiser.
