Story
Please donate this festive season to invest in the future of some of the most vulnerable child and young asylum seekers.
We will be running 5km dressed as Santa on 13 December to raise much-needed funds for the Breaking the Chains project.
This ground-breaking project, run by MiCLU at Islington Law Centre in partnership with Shpresa Programme, provides child-centred advice to children and young people who have fled violence, persecution or trafficking, as well as support for them to be heard and their needs met in an increasingly hostile environment.
We desperately need funds to help children and young people secure protection and a chance to move forward in safety.
This year has been tough and the project has been running with increasingly limited funding. We struggle with simple things such as covering travel costs to enable the young people to attend groups, and buying nutritious food for cooking sessions.
With your help, young people can gain support in a system that too often doubts their stories, and build a future.
If you would like to be in touch please email: deboraht@islingtonlaw.org.uk
(Please check back after 13 December for photos of the event)
